Picnicking by the river
at
the Crook O'Lune |
We are a warm, practical, multinational community of talents and skills in an historic port on a wild coastline.
With: two universities, great schools, advanced technology industries, global export manufacturing and easy transport links.
Plus: a world-class music and arts scene, heritage architecture, dreamy canals, castles, organic farming, glorious waterside cycletracks, hidden villages lost in middle earth countryside and utterly beautiful rivers you can swim in. Welcome!
The Community section of this site includes local
groups or societies with a web presence of their own. There are a lot, particularly for cycling, sustainability, health / support, campaigning and sports / fitness.
You'll
find it all here! And if you can't - let
us know - your feedback is crucial to the development of the site.
There are opportunities for volunteering locally too. And if you're one of the growing number of local planters, you may find some handy tips in our month-by-month gardening columns

This site isn't just for YOU, it's by YOU too! We need your your
help to develop the site and make it the best place online for the people
of Lancaster and visitors to the area!
You can help by contributing
material, telling
us what you think of it
and what you want on here,
as well as spreading
the word and helping us promote the site. And don't forget to tell
your friends (your recommendation is very much appreciated)!
