RAIL TRAVEL WOES 5/10/01: The 2001 Winter Rail Timetable meant you couldn't leave
Lancaster by rail on a Sunday until 3.00pm, breaking rail guidelines.
The local Green Party asked for buses to replace the service so rail
users could at least get to Preston. Railtrack said that because this

Warehouse Raid
Is Hilton Dawson missing?
Still no reply from Hilton
Dawson MP to our requests for a comment about police refusal
to let a woman having an asthma attack have her inhaler.
Dr Ruth Henig, Labour County Councillor and Chairman of the
Association of Police Authorities apparently thinks it's ok for the
police to behave abusively to the general public because other people
take drugs...Why does anyone bother to vote.....
Update
I take that last comment back. Jonathon
Sear, Green County Councillor for Lancaster City appears to
be the one local politician who doesn't think that the electorate are
expendable fodder for the police to act out their frustrations on. In
a reply to this site and a letter to the Citizen
newspaper, he voiced his concerns about the Warehouse debacle and promised
to arrange a meeting with the Divisional Commander to discuss the issues
it has raised.
If there are matters you would like raised that haven't yet been covered
in the local media you can
about them.
Dont Forget!
You can have your say about these or any other local issues in
our Public Forum. The first
time in it takes about 1 minute to register (personal details optional)
and then you're off! Read what others have got to say - and join the
debate, or start one of your own!
