LGBT OUT IN THE BAY
"LGBT Out in the Bay" is a group who cater specifically to the needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender people. We seek to offer a safe environment in which people can discuss issues that they may feel more comfortable discussing with people from within the community. It is our aim to be a fun group, to offer a chance to Socialise to anyone and especially those adults who may feel alone or a vulnerable because of their sexuality. With this in mind we look to organise regular social events which are suggested by the group and we are always open to new ideas. Regional organisation that seeks to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans young people in the North West of England. We offer:
Services for Young People
The Regional Network – a professionals' network for youth workers running LGBT youth services across the whole of the North West.
Training and Consultancy – we offer a wide range of LGBT Awareness training opportunities from workshops for young people through to bespoke training for professionals working in the youth sector.
LUNETTES
LESBIANS AROUND LANCASTER & MORECAMBE
The Lunettes lesbian social network group meets every third Friday of the month @ 8pm at the Gregson Community Centre, Lancaster. The group started in 2005 and offers regular informal activities. If you’re on your own or have never been to anything like this before don’t worry – just turn up and there will be people to talk to. OUTING THE PAST - LGBT HISTORY MONTH
Every February, Lancashire Archives, Libraries and Museums contribute to events and projects to celebrate the history, culture, and experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual , and transgender people of Lancashire. You’ll be able to find out about all that’s going on and what has been on.
We’ll welcome your comments and, most importantly, your contributions. If things that you read strike a chord and bring back a memory, please let us know. The whole point of “Outing the Past” is to tell our Lancashire story in a way we never have before!
2013 will be dedicated to Maths, science and engineering.
