West african drum, dance, song and story from Guinea Conakry - at its best from the best. Performing on traditional instruments, the Beat Artistes will thrill you at events (corporate and private), school and community workshops, projects and performances, with their exhilarating beats and sassy dance steps. Performing and teaching from Singapore to Senegal to Sussex, Maitre Samsou from Les ballets africains and Diane Camara, formerly Drumdance, also teach weekly classes at the Park Hotel, Lancaster.

The John O'Gaunt
Morris Men John O'Gaunt Morris Men, Lancaster were formed in 1968 from an existing
sword team, with the aim of learning and continuing the traditional
dances of England. The side now has a repertoire of dances drawn from
two diverse traditions, the Cotswold and the North West.
Lavender Lounge
Lavender Lounge is a long running Lancaster based women's organisation based around cabaret evenings, sensational talent and having fun....

The Spotlight
Club
Highly recommended live-writing event with local authors and performers.
Held on the 3rd Friday of every month at The Yorkshire House, Parliament
Street, Lancaster. 8.30pm start. Events comprise open mic session, poets, writers,
comedy and music.
