If you have a gas leak the gas board will
come round, tell you you have a gas leak, switch your gas off and
give you a phone number for someone else to come along and fix it.
When our News Editor John Freeman put a nail through a gas pipe
(oops) this process took three days. Good job it wasn't mid-winter! |

drinkable. Any problems on or caused by the
public sewerage system should be reported by telephoning United
Utilities Plc Service Enquiries on 08456 020406 or writing to United
Utilities Plc., Service Delivery, PO BOX 453, Warrington WA55 1SE.
Open between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm on Saturday, and 8am to noon on Sunday. there is also an emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
