what's on

PigLancaster Footlights Youth theatre have just staged their latest production Animal Farm - Orwell's political fable could not have been easy to adapt for youth theatre but directors Julie Brown and Carl Hayhurst made a gripping night of it. Jane Sunderland was there to review the play for Virtual Lancaster ("Shadows are used to excellent effect – to show Farmer Jones bathing his feet at the start (a clever way to make a child look adult size)...") and you can read her review here

Halton Band Showcase was such a successful night in April that reviewer Kizzy Felstead has only just recovered enough to let us know how it all went. "The evening was filled with good spirited, well-meaning, polite, thoughtful and considerate live acts who shared their equipment and good humour amongst each other and everyone who came to listen. It was great to see and be a part of the community spirit which joined forces to enable the event to go ahead." You can read the rest of her review here.
