St John’s is no longer needed for regular worship and is now
cared for by The Churches Conservation Trust. It is used to host a variety of events for the benefit of the local
community. Of historical significance, it has been a music venue for
more than two hundred years. In addition to concerts and plays the Trust now both arranges and hosts lectures, exhibitions, fares etc. Monies raised directly benefit either the upkeep of St John's and/or other charities.

Visitors are very welcome to come to the much improved vibrant and welcoming Halton Community Centre, which now has a coffee shop (see Centre website for opening hours) as well as a sports pitch, main hall and a number of comfortable meeting rooms and other facilities for hire. A state-of-the art skate park and enlarged play area will be completed in Spring 2011. Also on offer is a very wide range of activities and classes for adults, children and young people.
Venue hire: There has been significant recent investment in The Centre which now has a number of meeting rooms and the original hall. It is an ideal venue for parties, dances, clubs, meetings and other activities. Reductions are available for regular hire and multiple bookings.
